What is the Jamaica Cosplay Championship?
The Jamaica Cosplay Championship is a highlight of the festival, celebrating the art of cosplay and recognizing the incredible talent within the community.
AnimeCom celebrates cosplay throughout the festival and as such, we have dubbed it a cosplay costume "RECOMMENDED" event! We encourage all patrons, guests, exhibitors and partners alike to dress-up, role-play, cosplay or come on out in whatever character they like. Link up your crew and join in our cosplay group photo ops.
Open to all Jamaicans locally and abroad, Caribbean nationals and our international friends. But MUST be a Jamaican to represent us at the
Caribbean Cosplay Championship.
A Showcase of Skill
Cosplayers from across Jamaica compete to demonstrate their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and performance skills.
A Celebration of Creativity
The championship encourages participants to bring their unique interpretations to beloved characters, fostering innovation and originality.

Competition Rules & Guidelines:
To ensure fairness and a high standard of competition, all participants must adhere to specific rules and guidelines.

Costume Requirements
Costumes must be based on established characters from anime, comics, films, manga, video games, or related media.

Performance Guidelines
Each contestant will have a limited time to showcase their character through a brief performance or presentation.

Craftsmanship Judging
Costumes will be evaluated based on construction quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Prize Details and Awards
Jamaica Cosplay Championship offers over $600,000 in cash and a range of exciting prizes and awards to recognise outstanding achievements. This includes an all-expense paid weekend for two at a popular north coast all-inclusive resort.
Grand Prize
The overall champion will receive a grand prize package, including an all-inclusive weekend for two at a popular north coast resort, cash, merchandise, and bragging rights.
Category Awards
Awards will be given in various categories, such as Best Craftsmanship, Best Performance, and Most Creative Design.
Sponsor Prizes
Our generous sponsors will provide additional prizes and gifts to deserving contestants.

How to Register for the Cosplay Championship

Online Application
Complete the online application form with the required information and costume details.

Submission of Materials
Submit clear photos of the character for your costume, in-progress photos, and any audio or video to be used in your performance.
3
Confirmation
Receive confirmation of your registration and any additional instructions from the championship organisers within 72 hours.
